“drop and give me 21XX !!”
The nylon coach jacket originally worn by varsity coaches has become a streetwear staple. I wanted to make a formal version of this jacket while paying homage to its roots. So I thought, how about I find a way to incorporate a Sports/Duffel bag to this jacket while at the same time make it seamlessly fit for formal occasions. Making this jacket, I’ve created this with the same approach as creating a blazer. I’ve decided to extend the hemline and use that extension as a removable functional bag... By now, you should know that I love giving the wearer/viewer not only a surprise, but multiple options to wear a garment “more than one way”.
Featuring luxurious Britain wool suiting, front lined with Bemberg, inner chest piece for structure, snap button closures (just like a coach jacket), multiple functional YKK gunmetal zippers for different features, gunmetal buckle and clips for the transformable bottom half duffel bag (backed with Cordura mesh to hold structure), belt is used for the strap. Inner welt pockets and of course our signature photo pocket. Predominantly, traditional tailoring techniques were used to create this jacket... you may have noticed the sleeves are separable too. You’ll find that out later why😉.
